Step 1: Install and Run Tool
Launch the SysInfoTools AOL Mail Backup Tool as an administrator on your device.
Step 2: Select Options
Choose Single Mode or Batch Mode to Backup a Single Email Account or Backup of Multiple Email Accounts.
Step 3: Migrate AOL Emails
Select the AOL option from the left side, enter Login credentials like Email Address and password, and click the Login button.
Step 4: Preview AOL Files
Now, you will find a tree structure containing all the entered AOL ID folders, files, and subfolders. You can check all the folders in the preview panel and click on Next to continue the process.
Step 5: Saving Format
Choose a file format from the Saves/Backup As drop-down list. The selected File Format is PST.
Step 6: Specify Destination
Select the Path to save the resultant file option to define the location of the resultant file and click on the Next button.
Step 7: Remove Duplicate Mail
Choose the Remove Duplicate Mail option to remove duplicate emails based on To, From, Subject, and Body from the selected AOL folder.
Step 8: Apply Additional Features
Choose these options for better selection:
- Free up Server Space:- Apply for this feature to free the storage space from the AOL server.
- Migrate or Backup Without Attachments files:- Go for this option to backup emails without their contained attachment files.
Step 9: Select Date Filter
Choose the Mail filter option to back up the emails between particular dates based on the Start Date and End Date.
Step 10: Use Other Notable Features
Check for these:
- Custom Folder Name:- Check this option to assign the name of the resultant folder.
- Split Resultant PST:- It will enable you to break the large resultant files in MB or GB.
Step 11: Convert the AOL File
Click this Convert button to start the AOL email backup into the PST file.
Step 12: Download Report
Finally, you have successfully downloaded the selected AOL mailbox folder in PST file format. Use the Download Report button to download the report.
Note: Follow the above steps from 1 to 4 as stated in Backup AOL emails into File Format, then follow the below steps carefully to migrate AOL mailbox emails to other email clients.
Step 5: Saving Format
Now, choose an email client from the Backup/Migrate As option drop-down list. Here, we select the Gmail email client and click on the Next button.
Step 6: Gmail Login
Click on the Login button to authenticate the email client from the Browser.
Step 7: Select Gmail
Choose Gmail from the browser to log in with your Gmail Account.
Step 8: Authenticate Process
After that, you will find a message on your display like Authentication Successful. Please go back to the AOL Backup tool to continue the process.
Step 9: Remove Duplicates
Choose the Remove Duplicate Mail option to remove duplicate emails based on To, From, Subject, and Body from the selected AOL folder.
Step 10: Apply Additional Features
Choose these options for better selection:
- Free up Server Space:- Apply for this feature to free the storage space from the AOL server.
- Migrate or Backup Without Attachments files:- Go for this option to backup emails without their contained attachment files.
Step 11: Use Other Notable Features

Step 12: Convert the AOL File
Click this Convert button to start the AOL email backup into the Gmail Account.
Step 13: Download Report
Finally, you have successfully downloaded the selected AOL mailbox folder in Gmail. Use the Download Report button to download the report.
