Step 1: Run IBM Lotus Notes Converter
Install the NSF to PST Converter on your system. As you run the tool, this interface appears on the screen, confirming the installation of the IBM Notes. Click Ok.
Step 2: First Interface Appears
Once the tool starts completely, you can find the interface as shown below.
Step 3: File Selection Options
At the top, you will see two buttons: Select Files and Select Folder. Click on Add Files to add a single NSF file whereas Add Folder adds an entire folder containing NSF files.
Step 4: Convert Single NSF File
Click on Add Files and browse the NSF file on your system. Select it and click Open.
Step 5: Fetching NSF File Data
Once you add the NSF file to the tool, it reads and fetches all data in the selected file. You can force-stop this procedure if needed.
Step 6: Preview NSF File
Double-click on any folder to load the list of emails within it. Again, double-click on any specific email to see its preview. Select folders and click Next.
Note: You cannot see the preview when you have selected multiple NSF files for conversion.
Step 7: Choose Saving File Format
On the next panel, you will the list of saving formats. Choose PST to convert NSF to Outlook PST format.
Step 8: Additional Filter Options
Now, you will get various optional filters to make NSF to PST conversion smooth.
Step 9: Remove Duplicate Mails
Opt for the option Remove Duplicate Mails. It identifies and prevents the conversion of duplicate emails from NSF files based on To, From, Body, and Subject.
Step 10: Exclude All Folders
Select the Exclude All Folders option to exclude all folders and reduce the size of the Output PST file.
Step 11: Split Output PST
To break the resultant PST file into multiple smaller PSTs, choose the Split PST option.
Step 12: Custom Folder Name
Step 13: Save Emails Body in HTML
Check the HTML Formatting option to save email body content in HTML format.
Step 14: Date Filter Option
Date Filter allows you to migrate emails or other data from the specified date range. Check this filter and enter a Start and End date. Click Add.
Step 15: Skip Attachments
Choose the Skip Attachments option to keep email without attachments in the PST file.
Step 16: Locate the Saving Path
Next, to save the resultant PST at a location of your choice, click on the Path to Save button and select a folder. You can also save the Log File at a desired location.
Step 17: Begin Conversion
Lastly, to start NSF to PST Conversion, click on Convert.
Step 18: Conversion Complete
Conversion to PST begins. Once, the conversion is complete, You can download the conversion report.
Follow the 1 to 6 as mentioned to convert NSF to PST. Further, do as directed below:
Step 7: Choose EML Format
Now, select EML file format as a saving option from the left side menu.
Step 8: Additional Filters
You can also opt for these options-
- Remove Duplicate Mail: It will enable users to exclude similar emails from the NSF files.
- Exclude All Folders: Opt for this to remove All Folders from the Lotus Notes NSF files.
- Custom Folder Name: Save the resultant EML in a folder of your desired name.
- HTML Formatting: Select this to view the exported data in HTML format.
Step 9: Save .nsf Contact As
The software also allows saving the NSF contacts into the VCF file, or MSG file separately.
Step 10: Selective Conversion
Date Filter:- Check this and enter a start date with an end date. It helps to back up the emails in between your entered dates.
Step 11: Skip Attachments Feature
To save emails of NSF without attachments in PST, choose the Skip Attachments option.
Step 12: Naming Convention Feature
You can also opt for the Naming Convention option. This allows you to select different saving formats for a new resultant folder containing EML files.
Step 13: File Saving Location
Opt for these buttons:-
Log File Path:- Tap on this to choose a saving location for the log file.
Select Path:- Click on this to select the destination folder for the output folder.
Step 14: Convert NSF to EML
Click on the Convert button to start the NSF to EML conversion process.
Step 15: Conversion Complete
Finally, all the added NSF files get converted into EML files. Similarly, you can also convert NSF to PDF.
Step 1: Launch the NSF Converter
Install the NSF to PST Converter on your system. Run the tool as an administrator.
Step 2: Choose Select File/Select Folder
Select Files:- Click on this to add a single NSF file from the system.
Select Folder:- It allows you to choose the Folder containing multiple NSF files.
Step 3: Select NSF Files
Select the NSF file/folder and click the Open button.
Step 4: Preview Added NSF File
If you have selected a single NSF file for migration to Office 365, you can preview all folders and data within the file. Click Next.
Step 5: Select Destination Email Client
Select the destination email client as Office 365 from the left list.
Step 6: Login to Office 365
Enter your Office 365 login credentials and click on the Sign-In button. The tool will redirect you to the browser for authentication.
Step 7: Authentication Complete
Once authentication is complete, return to the tool for further processing.
Step 8: Email Filter Settings
Chose these options, if needed:
- Remove Duplicate Mail:- Check this to remove repetitive emails.
- Exclude All Folder:- It will remove the All Folder named folder from the NSF files.
- Custom Folder Name:- Provide a name of your choice to the destination folder
Step 9: Date Mail Filter
Check the Date Filter feature and enter the Start and End Date. It helps users to perform selective migration of NSF file items.
Step 10: Choose Office 365 Mailbox
Choose the destination mailbox of Office 365: Mailbox, Online Archive, and Public Folder, where you want to save NSF emails.
Step 11: Skip Attachments Option
Tick the Skip Attachments check box, to prevent migrating attachment files of NSF emails to Office 365.
Step 12: Migrate NSF to Office 365
Finally, to initiate the NSF to Office 365 migration process, click on the Convert button.
Step 13: Download Conversion Report
Once the conversion is complete, you can download the conversion report. Or, return to Home to convert NSF again.
