Step 1: Download the Tool
Install and Run the PDF Unlocker Tool as an administrator on your computer.
Step 2: File Selection Options
Select the Add Files or Add Folder button to browse the PDF files and add to the software.
Step 3: Add PDFs to the Tool
After selecting PDF files from the system, click the Open button.
Step 4: Enter Password of PDFs
If prompted, enter the password of the selected PDF files and click OK to continue.
Step 5: Shows Files Properties
Here, you will get an instant preview of the files including File Name, Path, Size, Max Pages, and Protection.
Step 6: Choose Saving Location
Click on the Destination Path button to select the saving location for the new resultant PDF. Click on the Next button to move ahead.
Step 7: Edit PDF MetaData
Check the Edit Metadata checkbox to modify the PDF file's properties. If not needed, go ahead.
Step 8: Save Attachment Files
Check the ‘Save PDF Attachments in Subfolder’ option to download the attachments of the PDF files separately.
Step 9: Select Password Options
Click on Any one of these options:
- Apply Existing Password(s) to Output PDF
- Apply No Password to Output PDF
- Apply New Password to Output PDF
To add a new password, enter the password in the given “Enter User Password” box.
Step 10: Criteria to Unlock PDFs
Choose either of the two: Unlock Only Protected PDF File(s) or Unlock All PDF Files.
Step 11: Initiate Unlocking PDFs
Tap on the Unlock button to begin the removal of restrictions from the added PDF files.
Step 12: Process is Complete
After completion of the process, you will get a pop-up displaying: The conversion has been completed. Click OK.
Step 13: Download the Process Report
Finally, click on the Download Report button to save the conversion report of PDFs.
