Software Guide for SysinfoTools NSF Split Tool

Step 1: Install and Run Tool

Start the SysInfo NSF Split Tool as an administrator on your system.

Step 2: Add NSF File

Click on the Browse button to add the Lotus Notes NSF file.

Step 3: Select NSF File

Choose the NSF Database file from the system to split and click on the Open button.

Step 4: Continue Process

The selected NSF file will be displayed in the utility wizard. Click Next to proceed further.

Step 5: Added NSF File

Now, the tool is processing all the added NSF mailbox folders. Wait for its completion.

Step 6: Preview File Details

Here, you can view the NSF file name, NSF file size (Bytes), and the total number of mails. Click Next to continue.

Step 7: Select Folders

The software shows you the entire NSF Database data in a tree structure. Select the folders you want to save.

Step 8: Select Options to Proceed

Before moving further, you also have to select the split option for the selected NSF file.

Step 9: Split the NSF File by Size

Opt for the Split NSF file by size option from the list and click Next.

Step 10: Define File Size

Enter the NSF file size to split the selected NSF file into MB or GB.

Step 11: Specify Path

After that, select the directory path to save the output file containing split NSF files.

Step 12: Start Splitting

Click on the Split NSF file button to start the breaking process.

Finally, you will find a pop-up tab showing the splitting process for a selected file has been done successfully.

Note: Follow the steps from 1 to 8 and then go along with the below-given steps to split the NSF file based on Date.

Step 9: Split File by Date

Choose Split NSF file based on Date and click the Next button.

Step 10: Specify Date and Time Range

Now, select the date and time range to split the selected NSF file.

Step 11: Apply Other Features

Opt for the Predefined period option and select the required dates from the drop-down list.

Step 12: Define Period Manually

Suppose you select the Define period manually, then add the range using the Start Date and End Date options.

After selecting the required date range, use these buttons:

  • Add:- Click on this to add the chosen date range to the list.
  • Remove:- Click on this to exclude the added date ranges.

Step 14: Create NSF File

Here, you can create a single or separate NSF file of selected folders. Click Next.

Step 15: Define Destination

Allocate the destination path of the output folder by clicking on the Browse button.

Click on the Split NSF file button to start the splitting process based on a date range.

Finally, you will find a pop-up tab displaying a message the splitting process for a selected file has been done successfully.

Note: Follow the steps from 1 to 8 and then go along with the below-given steps to split the NSF file based on Sender Email Id.

Step 9: Split by Email ID

Choose the third option to split the Lotus Notes NSF file based on the Sender's Email ID. Click Next.

Step 10: Loading Emails

The software loads all the selected Email IDs on the wizard and displays a pop-up Process Complete. Click OK

Here, check the required Sender Email ID you want to select and click the Next button.

Click on the Browse button to select the saving location for the output folder (Split NSF files).

To break the large NSF file based on the Sender Email ID, click on the Split NSF file button.

Finally, you will find a pop-up tab displaying a message the splitting process for a selected file has been done successfully.

Note: Follow the steps from 1 to 8 and then go along with the below-given steps to split the NSF file based on two advanced options.

Step 9: Choose Options to Proceed

Choose one as your requirement: Create a single NSF file for the selected folders or Create a separate NSF file for every selected folder.

Here, we perform the further steps by enabling the Create a single NSF file for selected folders option. Click Next.

Assign the directory path of the output folder.

Click the Split NSF file to continue the splitting process.

Finally, you will find a pop-up tab displaying a message the splitting process for a selected file has been done successfully.

Click on the Close button to exit the process.
